Number of Syrians returning to their country following Assad's collapse announced: Yerlikaya provides figures

Speaking during budget negotiations, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the number of Syrians returning to their country from Turkey following the collapse of Assad in Syria has risen from 240 to 1,847.

During the crossings that have been ongoing for about a week, Syrians who had taken refuge in Turkey have begun moving to return to their home country.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made statements regarding the matter while taking the podium at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as part of the budget negotiations.

Announcing the number of Syrians who have returned to their country from Turkey since December 8, Minister Yerlikaya stated the following:

It was 240 on December 8, when the Assad regime in Syria collapsed. Following Syria's attainment of freedom, this number has risen to 1,847.
