Objections to the release of the aunt of the child found neglected in a hoarder house in Bursa rejected
The objection filed by lawyers for the Ministry of Family and Social Services regarding the release of Kamuran Pınar A., who is being tried on charges of keeping her 11-year-old nephew, Cem Muhammet A., whom she allegedly abducted, locked in a room in an apartment that had turned into a hoarder house in Bursa, has been rejected by a higher court.
In Bursa, the objections filed against the release of Kamuran Pınar A., the aunt of the boy found neglected in a hoarder house 2 years ago, in the case where she is being tried while in custody with a request for up to 30.5 years in prison, have been rejected.
The Bursa 10th High Criminal Court decided on February 2 to release the defendant Kamuran Pınar A. under judicial control measures, citing that the evidence had been largely collected.
Following the court's decision, the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the attorney for the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and the lawyer for the child's mother, Yasemin Acar, appealed the release decision.
Evaluating the objections, the Bursa 11th High Criminal Court found the lower court's decision regarding the aunt of the child, who is now 11 years old, to be in accordance with procedure and law, and rejected the appeals.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED
Aydın S., who rented his apartment in Bursa to Kamuran Pınar A. (45), later filed a lawsuit against the woman for failing to pay rent. After the court ordered the eviction of the house, the enforcement team that went to the address had the door of the apartment opened with the help of a locksmith and changed the lock.
Kamuran Pınar A., who did not comply with the court's eviction order by changing the lock of the house again, had her statement taken at the police station. Meanwhile, Nilüfer Municipality cleaning staff, who were notified to clean the house full of trash, found 9-year-old C.M.A. unconscious among the trash in a locked room in July 2022, and it was determined that his health condition was poor.
It was determined that C.M.A.'s mother was Kamuran Pınar A.'s sister, Yasemin A., and the child was handed over to the mother living in Antalya by the prosecutor's office decision. Later, C.M.A. and Kamuran Pınar A.'s 16-year-old daughter, E.Z.A., were taken under protection by the Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services. C.M.A. was treated at Akdeniz University Hospital.
