Occupancy rates in Istanbul's dams are rising! Figures for Saturday, January 13
The total amount of water in the 10 dams supplying water to Istanbul is hovering above 50 percent for the first time in months.
The occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has shown an increase due to the effect of recent rainfall. The lack of sufficient precipitation during the past winter season had made dam occupancy rates a subject of keen interest for citizens. Pabuçdere Dam was measured as having the lowest water level with an occupancy rate of 26.75 percent, while on the other hand, Elmalı Dam reached the highest water volume at 81.65 percent. The total dam occupancy rate in the megacity was determined to be 57.9 percent on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
These occupancy rates, which showed an increase compared to the previous day, were listed as follows on January 13:

Darlık Dam: 71.77%
Elmalı Dam: 81.65%
Terkos Dam: 47.81%
Alibey Dam: 69.07%
Büyükçekmece Dam: 50.19%
Sazlıdere Dam: 40.18%
Istrancalar Dam: 49.53%
Kazandere Dam: 43.27%
Pabuçdere Dam: 26.75%
