Ömer Çelik responds to Özgür Özel's 'political opportunism and helplessness' remarks! 'What is happening in his own party...'

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik responded to the criticisms of the AKP and the People's Alliance voiced by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at a rally held in Aydın yesterday.

Evaluating Özel's words, Çelik stated, "His remarks have ceased to be a subject of the political arena; they are nothing but delusions."

Çelik said, "It is our nation that always appreciates our President with high support. What our President's political leadership means is best known on the world political stage."

Criticizing Özel's style of politics, Çelik remarked, "It is impossible for the third-rate politics conducted by Özgür Özel to grasp these." Furthermore, targeting the CHP leader's words directed at the President, he added, "The ugly expressions used by Özgür Özel towards our President will have no other fate than to be shattered in the face of our political struggle."

Addressing Özel's use of the term "political helplessness," Çelik said, "'Political helplessness' is what you call the situation Özgür Özel has fallen into regarding understanding what is happening in his own party."

In addition, stating, "'Political opportunism' is what you call the actions of the CHP administration, which has spent years opposing the national will and cannot face the shameful scenes that have emerged today," Çelik continued his remarks as follows:

"If Özgür Özel can face these political scandals erupting from within his own party, he will have made one contribution to our political life. Other than that, what he says is nothing but an effort to cover up the facts."
