One more arrest in armed brawl that left Samsunspor fan dead
A Samsunspor fan has been arrested in connection with an armed brawl at a restaurant in the Tirebolu district of Giresun, involving a group of Samsunspor fans who were traveling from Samsun to Trabzon to watch the match played last Sunday.
Samsunspor fans traveling to Trabzon for the match between Trabzonspor and Samsunspor on August 31 stopped for a meal at a restaurant in the Tirebolu district of Giresun.
BUSINESS OWNER HAD BEEN ARRESTED
Following a dispute among the fans that escalated into an armed brawl, Samsunspor fan Ümit Çapkın lost his life, and the business owner, Emrah Tok, was arrested.
ARREST WARRANT FOR FAN
Samsunspor fan B.Ö., who appeared in the footage of the brawl, gave his statement regarding the incident at a police station in Samsun.
Following the incident, B.Ö. gave his statement to the Giresun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office via SEGBİS (Audio and Video Information System) and was subsequently arrested and sent to prison.
Meanwhile, it was learned that the investigation into the footage of the incident is ongoing and that further arrests may follow.
