One person arrested regarding 'attack on CHP stand' allegations
The Istanbul Police Department announced that one person has been arrested in connection with allegations of an "attack on a CHP stand."
The statement made by the Istanbul Police Department is as follows:
"An investigation has been initiated regarding the allegations of an “attack on a CHP stand” that appeared in some media outlets and on social media on 04.05.2025.
In the incident that occurred, it was determined that a minor identified as A.Ç.C. was assaulted, and 3 suspects were apprehended on 05.05.2025 in connection with the incident.
Upon examination of the footage, it was determined that there had been a previous verbal argument between the parties, and that the incident occurred when the suspects came to the stand to sign a petition and the argument escalated after they encountered A.Ç.C. again. The individual identified as A.F.T., who was apprehended in relation to the matter, has been arrested."
