AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave signals of change within the AKP following the local elections.

In this context, TGRT Haber Ankara News Director Ahmet Sözcan shared important insider information regarding the change that will take place in the party.

While evaluating the March 31 elections, Erdoğan stated that the voter's message had been received and that the necessary changes would be made. According to Sözcan, the change will first begin with the cabinet. However, there are guarantees for certain seats.

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler are among these guaranteed names.

Stating that he received this information from an AKP official, Sözcan said that this situation would take place through a post-election evaluation and reorganization.

Touching upon the theme of a "changing of the guard" emphasized by Erdoğan at the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, Sözcan stated that this emphasis increased both before and after the congress. He noted that at the organizational level, this change would take place from the top down to the very bottom.

Sözcan also mentioned that there were 3 different headings presented to Erdoğan following the local government elections, stating that these headings addressed the shifts in votes.
