It had been alleged that Elif Duygu Adıgüzel, the wife of CHP's Ataşehir Mayor Onursal Adıgüzel, was appointed as a deputy mayor at the Çekmeköy Municipality, and the issue was debated for a long time.

The allegations in question were denied by Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez with the words, "The allegations do not reflect the truth."

Sharing a frame taken during his visit on his account, Adıgüzel added the note, "I visited our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, who ended our party's longing for power after 47 years, in his office."
