Open visitation granted to disabled convicts and detainees
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that disabled convicts and detainees have been granted permission to have open visits with their relatives who have visitation rights between December 3 and 6.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated, "On the occasion of the December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we are allowing disabled convicts and detainees to hold their visits with relatives who have visitation rights between December 3 and 6 as open visits."
Tunç used the following expressions regarding the subject:
"As the Ministry of Justice, we are allowing disabled convicts and detainees in penal institutions to hold their visits with relatives who have visitation rights between December 3 and 6 as open visits on the occasion of the December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities. I wish for this decision to be beneficial. We will continue to stand by our disabled citizens and work to further facilitate their access to justice."
