Operation against DEM Party continues: Arrest warrants issued for 9 people
Nine people, including DEM Party executive Sevtap Akdağ and Kayapınar Co-Mayor Cengiz Dündar, who were detained as part of FETÖ and PKK investigations, have been arrested.
The prosecution procedures for politicians, lawyers, and human rights defenders who were detained in recent days as part of two separate Ankara-based investigations have been completed. Following their statements to the prosecutor, the suspects were referred to court with a request for their arrest.
The court issued arrest warrants for DEM Party Deputy Co-Chair Sevtap Akdağ, Kayapınar Co-Mayor Cengiz Dündar, Human Rights Association (İHD) founder Nimet Tanrıkulu, Genel-İş Union President Remzi Çalışkan, Genel-İş Union Mersin Branch President Kemal Göksoy, Halef Caruş, Ecevit Odabaşı, Nusrat Akın, and Serdar Ekingen.

Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) member Şiar Rışvanoğlu, Erdal Güzel, Faruk Ayhan, and Recep Şimşek were released under judicial control conditions.
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that a total of 47 people were detained within the framework of two separate investigations. The statement noted that 14 out of 35 FETÖ/PDY suspects were arrested, 19 were released under judicial control, and 9 out of 15 PKK/KCK suspects were arrested. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced to the public that the process is being conducted meticulously.
