Operation against FETÖ's Land Forces structure in Ankara
Detention warrants have been issued for 16 suspects in an investigation into the secret structure of FETÖ within the Land Forces in Ankara.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued detention warrants for 16 suspects as part of an investigation into the secret structure of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) within the Land Forces Command.
According to the statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the investigation was launched by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau into what is referred to as the "secret services" structure of FETÖ within the Land Forces Command.
In the investigation, detention warrants were issued for 16 suspects, including 14 former military personnel whose ties had previously been severed and 2 secret imams, who were determined to have communicated with the organization's so-called civilian imams using landline telephone connections.
It was stated that operations are being carried out by teams from the Ankara Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch to apprehend the suspects.
