Operation against ISIS in 24 provinces: 100 suspects apprehended

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that operations were carried out against the ISIS terrorist organization in 24 provinces. Minister Yerlikaya stated that 100 suspects were apprehended within the scope of the operations. 

Minister Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the operations via his social media account. In the statement, he noted that 100 suspects were apprehended in the 'Gürz-41' and 'Gürz-42' operations, which have been ongoing for the last week against the ISIS terrorist organization in 24 provinces, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the General Directorate of Security's Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Department and Intelligence Department, and the Gendarmerie General Command's TEM Department.

Minister Yerlikaya used the following expressions in his statement: 

"It was determined that the suspects were active within the DAESH terrorist organization, provided financing to the terrorist organization, and engaged in propaganda for the DAESH terrorist organization via social media accounts. With our strategy of destroying terrorism at its source against all terrorist hubs; we continue our fight with determination alongside our police, gendarmerie, and intelligence units."
