Operations against FETÖ and PKK in 19 provinces: Detention warrants issued for 50 suspects

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that detention warrants have been issued for 50 suspects to be taken into custody simultaneously across 19 provinces, centered in Ankara, as part of investigations into the FETÖ/PDY terrorist organization's police structure and the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a statement regarding the detention orders within the scope of two separate investigations conducted by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau.

According to the statement, detention warrants were issued for 35 individuals identified as so-called "police secret handlers" for the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization. These individuals were tasked by the organization as "secret imams" to target the General Directorate of Security, engage in infiltration, recruit members, and code personnel. Among these suspects are 7 individuals who are currently active public employees in various public institutions or organizations.

Furthermore, detention warrants were issued for 15 suspects identified as being part of the so-called "Kurdistan Democratic Communities/Turkey Desk (KCK/TM)" structure, which was established to coordinate the PKK/KCK armed terrorist organization's structures in Turkey. These identifications were based on witness testimonies, effective remorse statements, and HTS analysis reports indicating that the suspects held organizational roles in so-called committees.

In this context, it was reported that teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department are continuing operations to apprehend the total of 50 individuals for whom detention warrants were issued across 19 provinces, centered in Ankara, and to transfer them to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
