Operations against ISIS continue

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 88 suspects have been apprehended over the last 5 days as part of the "GÜRZ-15" operations conducted against the ISIS terrorist organization across 23 provinces. 

Minister Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account that the operations were carried out under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Intelligence Department and the Counter-Terrorism Department.

Stating that the operations were organized with the participation of Provincial Security Directorates in Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bingöl, Bursa, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Hatay, Istanbul, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Manisa, Ordu, Sakarya, Siirt, Sivas, and Tekirdağ, Yerlikaya delivered a message of determination in the fight against terrorism.

Emphasizing that the fight against terrorist hubs will continue without interruption, Yerlikaya included the following statements:

"88 suspects were apprehended in the GÜRZ-15 operations, which have been ongoing for the last 5 days against the DAESH terrorist organization in 23 provinces. I congratulate our prosecutors who coordinated the operations and our heroic police officers who carried them out. May God protect them. Our nation's prayers are with you."

Yerlikaya stated that operations against the ISIS terrorist organization will be continued with determination and that they will persist in the struggle until the last terrorist is neutralized.
