AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the iftar program for members of parliament held in the Parliament's Hall of Honor, hosted by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. During the program, Erdoğan and Kurtulmuş, accompanied by several ministers, moved to the room located behind the Presidential Council of the Parliament General Assembly.
There, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş presented a photograph as a gift, which captured a moment from last year's iftar program featuring President Erdoğan together with Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who was the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament at the time.
President Erdoğan, who received the photograph, thanked Kurtulmuş for the gift. Erdoğan also commemorated the late Deputy Speaker of Parliament with the words, "I pray for God's mercy upon Sırrı Süreyya Önder."
