ÖSYM announces last-minute update: YKS preference period extended
ÖSYM has announced that the YKS preference period has been extended until August 4 at 23:59.
The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) Presidency has announced a change in the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) preference procedures.
The following was stated in the announcement made by ÖSYM:
"In accordance with the decision of the Council of Higher Education regarding the ability of candidates who were studying in secondary education institutions in provinces affected by the earthquake as of February 6, 2023, to benefit from the earthquake victim candidate quota, even if their residence information is outside these provinces, the status of the relevant candidates to benefit from the earthquake victim candidate quota has been updated, and the 2024-YKS preference procedures have been extended until 23:59 on August 4, 2024."
