Exam date change from ÖSYM: NATO summit changes the schedule
ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy announced that the 2026 MEB-AGS and ÖABT sessions, which were planned to be held on July 12, have been postponed to July 26 due to the NATO summit to be held in Ankara.
The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) has made a mandatory change to the schedule of important exams to be held in July. The Ministry of National Education Academy Entrance Exam (MEB-AGS) and the Teaching Knowledge Test (ÖABT) sessions, which were planned to be held on July 12, 2026, have been moved to a later date due to an international organization that the capital Ankara will host.
ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy stated in a post on his social media account that the reason for the postponement decision was the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit to be held in Ankara. Considering the intensity and security measures that may arise due to the summit, it was decided to hold the exams two weeks later.
NEW EXAM DATE SET AS JULY 26
Prof. Dr. Ersoy addressed the candidates in his post and used the following expressions:
"The 2026-MEB AGS and ÖABT sessions, which were planned to be held on July 12, will be held on Sunday, July 26, due to the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit to be held in Ankara. I present this to the attention of our candidates and wish them success."
With this decision, the MEB-AGS and ÖABT sessions that teacher candidates will attend will be administered simultaneously on the newly determined date. It was reminded that candidates can access details regarding their exam entry documents and the updated schedule through ÖSYM's official website.
