CHP leader Özgür Özel, in a recent statement regarding the MHP's stance on the 'softening' process, said, “There is no difference between Ulvi İzzet Yönter and Semih Yalçın. Following Özel's remarks, a notable post featuring firearms emerged. A photograph surfaced showing Yönter and Yalçın gifting a firearm to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
