Özer Sencar steps down: High-level leadership change at MetroPoll Research

A significant management change has taken place at MetroPoll Research, a company known for its public opinion polls in Turkey. Özer Sencar, who had held the position of general manager since the company's founding in 2005, has handed over his duties. Following Sencar, it was announced that Suat Kınıklıoğlu, Director of the Center for Strategic Communication (STRATİM) and former AK Party Çankırı MP, has become the new general manager.

In a statement released by the company, thanks were extended to Özer Sencar for all his contributions to date, and well wishes were conveyed to the new leader of the era, Suat Kınıklıoğlu, with the following remarks: “We welcome Suat Kınıklıoğlu, who has taken on this responsibility in the new era; we wish him success in his new role with our full belief that under his leadership, MetroPoll will carry its vision of independent and scientific research even further.”

Sencar had managed the company at MetroPoll for 21 years and had become a prominent figure through his public opinion polls.

Suat Kınıklıoğlu, born in Germany in 1965, had a brief political experience in the Democratic Left Party (DSP) between 1995 and 1996, and later entered parliament as an AKP Çankırı MP in the July 22, 2007 general elections. Kınıklıoğlu served as a member of the Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) in the AKP between 2009 and 2012.

Suat Kınıklıoğlu, who has also been known for his critical stance toward the government in recent years, was serving as the Director of STRATİM.
