Özgür Özel: I am the elected chairman of the CHP, those who love me should go to the polls tomorrow

Speaking at a rally held in Mustafapaşa Square, Özel argued that the CHP has recently been dragged into an unlawful debate, stating that this has caused demoralization among some voters.

Emphasizing that he is the elected chairman of the CHP, Özel said, "I am a child of the Republican People's Party. I am the elected chairman with a certificate of election from the last four elections. I was born in the party, I grew up in the party.

I am the elected chairman of the CHP. Everyone who loves me and loves their party will go to the polls tomorrow and vote for the CHP," he said.

Calling for unity among the party base, Özel stated that the CHP is a political movement that believes in democracy and the ballot box, expressing that internal party debates should not cause voters to stay away from the polls. "Our struggle is not just a party struggle. It is a struggle to protect the ballot box, democracy, and the national will," he said.

Emphasizing the spirit of solidarity within the CHP, Özel stated that the common denominator for democrats of different political views is democracy, and reiterated the slogan, "There is no salvation alone, either all together or none of us." Giving messages regarding his party's future, Özel stated that the CHP will continue on its path in unity and solidarity, and asked citizens to protect the ballot boxes on election day.

At the end of his speech, Özel asked for support for the CHP's Mustafapaşa mayoral candidate Ömer Boz and invited voters to go to the polls and cast their votes on June 7.
