Özgür Özel's response to Ömer Çelik: 'He is confused because his routine has been disrupted'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel defended the stance of the CHP, which has been criticized for not signing a joint declaration, during a press statement he made in Manisa following a martyr's funeral. Özel responded to AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.

Özel said, "They condemn terrorism in the text they published; we denounce it. They do not accept that the PKK is a terrorist organization, a terrorist organization aimed at the division of Turkey. We do accept it. We denounce all of the PKK's actions and attacks. They, however, only denounce some actions."

"ACCUSTOMED TO EASY POLITICS"

Özel also responded to AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik. Çelik had used the expression that the CHP "has pursued other agendas by putting forward excuses" for not signing the joint declaration. Özel noted to Çelik, "Ömer Çelik has grown accustomed to very easy politics. He is confused because his routine has been disrupted. Mr. Ömer, look at your group's declaration, and then look at the declaration we announced."
