Özgür Özel's instructions to the party organization revealed: 'Be ready...'
It is alleged that CHP leader Özgür Özel instructed his party's provincial chairs to 'be ready for an election at any moment' during a meeting.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who emerged victorious from the March 31 local elections, continues to call for early elections by saying, 'If there is no livelihood, there is an election.'
INSTRUCTION FROM ÖZEL: BE READY FOR AN ELECTION
It has been revealed that CHP leader Özel, who stated that they have emerged as the leading party in polls, gave instructions to party organization officials during a meeting of provincial chairs.
According to the report by Mehtap Özdemir from Milliyet, Özel instructed the organizations to "be ready for an election at any moment." During the meeting, provincial chairs were informed that there would be a "more active period" after September, and they were asked to make their preparations accordingly.
"WE ARE WORKING AS IF THERE WILL BE AN ELECTION TOMORROW"
In line with Özel's instructions, the organizations have taken to the field and started working as if "there will be an election tomorrow." Stating that they are visiting district by district and neighborhood by neighborhood, the provincial chairs commented, "We are in the field. We are working as if there will be an election tomorrow. We are ready for everything."
CHP staff also argue that the election will not be held on time and that they believe the ballot box will come to the agenda before 2028, maintaining that "an election will take place in the autumn of 2025 or at the latest in the spring of 2026."
