Özkan Yalım’s statements included in the CHP convention lawsuit file

It has been learned that three separate statements provided by Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım—who was suspended from office after his arrest and expelled from the CHP—under the provisions of "effective remorse" have been included in the appellate file of the lawsuit filed for the annulment of CHP conventions.
Yalım, who was arrested as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "bribery," "extortion," and "rigging a tender," provided statements three times during the investigation process.
STATEMENTS SENT TO THE APPELLATE FILE
It was stated that the statements taken by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were sent to the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, which is conducting the appellate review of the lawsuit regarding the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention held on November 4-5, 2023, and the 21st Extraordinary Convention held on April 6, 2025.
It was noted that Yalım's statements have been included in the case file and that the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice is continuing its review of the file.
