Pakize Akbaba, President of the Istanbul Martyrs' Mothers Solidarity and Assistance Association, who was tried in 2017 for allegedly insulting the President due to her criticism of the government's fight against the PKK and FETÖ—and was acquitted after Erdoğan's lawyers withdrew their complaint—and who was previously banned from entering the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) for unfurling a Turkish flag there, has set up a "Justice Table" in front of the Second Parliament against the new PKK opening.
Martyr's mother Pakize Akbaba explained the following to those who came to support her:
"We set up this table for the homeland, the nation, the Republic, our martyrs, our veterans who gave their eyes, hands, and arms, the orphaned children of martyrs, and the mothers of martyrs left without children. I came here, to the Sacred Atatürk Parliament. Atatürk had also declared the Republic from here. Because the PKK is being invited to the Republic's Parliament, which was founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and watered with the blood of martyrs. Did I give a martyr for days like these? We are right. Turkey will grant us justice. I invite those who seek justice to this table. Let those who want betrayal and commit treason go away. Now they have come out, some call the terrorist leader a leader, some stroke his photograph. Some say, 'Let him come to the parliament.' Now that every other issue is finished, they are debating, 'Will the deputies go to İmralı, or will he come here?' Neither will he come here, nor will the deputies go there. I am saying it from here. I invite the deputies who receive salaries with my taxes and sit in leather-upholstered seats to do their duty. My rights will be forbidden to you, you will be traitors to the homeland."
Calling on CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Akbaba said, "I have opened a Justice Table here for you too, and I am speaking for İmamoğlu as well. Please come." She also criticized Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Pervin Buldan, who was part of the DEM İmralı delegation, with the words: "Who are you to sit in that seat and point your finger at deputies and threaten them? Is the Kurd without an owner? I am Kurdish, I am Turkish, I am Alevi, I am Sunni. Who are you to claim ownership of the Kurds? Come, face me. If you have the heart, come to the Justice Table."
Pakize Akbaba stated that after Ankara, she would set up Justice Tables in other provinces as well to tell the truth.
