'Paramotor' report mobilizes teams in Kayseri

According to the information received, a report was made to the 112 Emergency Call Center stating that an object flying in a mountainous area near the rural Kale neighborhood resembled a paramotor.

Upon the report, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.

In the work carried out by the teams, it was determined that the object drifting in the air was a cartoon-character-shaped flying balloon.

Kale Neighborhood Headman Arif Yavuz told reporters that some citizens had seen an object in the air and reported it.

Stating that gendarmerie teams arrived in the region and conducted a wide-ranging search, Yavuz noted that they learned it was understood the object was a balloon.

PARAMOTOR LINKED TO TERROR ATTACK HAD BEEN FOUND IN THE REGION

On October 1, 2023, 2 terrorists who arrived in front of the entrance gate of the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Security with a light commercial vehicle carried out a bomb attack; one of the terrorists blew himself up, while the other was neutralized. During the exchange of fire, 2 police officers were injured.

It was determined that the terrorists had killed and hijacked the vehicle from veterinary technician Mikail Bozlağan in the Develi district of Kayseri for the attack, and later, paramotor parts were found in the region during searches conducted by law enforcement forces.
