Parliament to continue working: Sessions to be held over the weekend, visitors barred
In an announcement made to members of parliament by the Office of the Secretary General of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), it was noted that parliamentary proceedings will continue until July 29.
The Office of the Secretary General of the TBMM, in an announcement regarding visitor access, noted that proceedings in the General Assembly of the TBMM will continue between July 26 and 29.
The announcement stated that visitor entry is prohibited, and included the following remarks:
"In accordance with the decision taken in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the TBMM General Assembly will continue its work between July 26 and 29, 2024.
Due to the intensity of the agenda, in order for honorable Members of Parliament to participate more effectively in the General Assembly proceedings, no visitors or vehicles other than authorized personnel will be allowed to enter the Grand National Assembly of Turkey between the specified dates."
