Parliamentary motion regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ accepted

The parliamentary motion regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, which was accepted in the TBMM General Assembly, stated, "No force will be able to disrupt the unity and solidarity of our country and our nation. Terrorist attacks backed by imperialist powers and dark entities will not be able to harm the environment of peace and stability in our country. The main purpose of this attack is our national defense industry and our determined march toward a fully independent Turkey."

In the motion bearing the signature of TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş in the TBMM General Assembly, it was stated, "The terrorist attack on the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara on October 23, 2024, is a vile attempt aimed at the peace and tranquility of our country.

We wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and a speedy recovery to our wounded. Our condolences to our nation. No force will be able to disrupt the unity and solidarity of our country and our nation. Terrorist attacks backed by imperialist powers and dark entities will not be able to harm the environment of peace and stability in our country.

The main purpose of this attack is our national defense industry and our determined march toward a fully independent Turkey," the statements read.

The motion, which stated that the fortitude and sense of unity shown by the nation after the attack symbolize the iron will stemming from our historical consciousness of being a nation, and that this will is strong enough to thwart any kind of terrorist attempt, noted the following:

"Here, as the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the manifestation of the national will and the center of our democracy, we once again express our determination to fight against terrorist organizations and all their supporters. I submit to the approval of the General Assembly the acceptance of this motion, which declares our common stance, and the publication of this decision in the Official Gazette."
