Pedestrian struck by reversing vehicle while walking on the street

A person was injured after being struck by a reversing vehicle in Rize. The incident was captured moment by moment on security cameras.

The incident occurred in Fener Neighborhood, located in the city center.

According to the information received, the driver, who was reversing their vehicle, did not notice the pedestrians passing behind the car at that moment. One of the pedestrians, seeing the reversing vehicle heading toward them, fell to the ground due to the impact.

While one of the pedestrians who fell managed to escape being crushed by the vehicle at the last moment, another remained trapped under the car.

The driver, noticing the incident, got out of the vehicle and rushed to help rescue the pedestrian trapped underneath.

A report was made to the 112 emergency call service for the pedestrian, who was rescued with the help of citizens in the vicinity. Upon the report, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The medical teams arriving at the scene provided the pedestrian with initial intervention before transporting them to the hospital.
