Phone call from Özgür Özel to Kılıçdaroğlu: 'I will take three people around you to court'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Manisa Şehzadeler Mayor Gülşah Durbay have taken action regarding the allegations made against them.

According to journalist İsmail Saymaz, Özel described these rumors as a "smear campaign" and filed a criminal complaint. Özel alleged that the claims were spread by individuals close to former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

In a phone call with Kılıçdaroğlu, Özgür Özel said, "Sir, three people from your circle took part in this smear campaign. I will take them to court. These are friends we see around you and who work with you. I wanted to inform you of this." Kılıçdaroğlu, in turn, stated that he would warn the individuals in question, telling Özel, "Of course, filing a lawsuit is your most natural right."

Journalist İsmail Saymaz also reported that Özel will file lawsuits against Ebru Küçükaydın, Tolgahan Erdoğan, and Gökhan Özbek, whom he claims have made posts containing slander against him.

Manisa Şehzadeler Mayor Gülşah Durbay had previously made a statement regarding the allegations against her. Stating that she is undergoing treatment for colon cancer, Durbay expressed that she has been subjected to various slanders by an organized group since the day she underwent surgery.

Durbay stated that she has taken more than 100 people and institutions to court during this process, saying, "I will hold these vile people accountable before the law and I will have them all convicted one by one."
