Pickup truck carrying sheep collides with car: 2 people lost their lives

A horrific traffic accident occurred around noon near Toytepe village in the Kurtalan district of Siirt. Chaos erupted at the scene after a pickup truck filled with sheep and a car, whose license plates and drivers have not yet been identified, collided.

Due to the impact of the collision, the pickup truck overturned, while the car was thrown into a field on the side of the road. Following the report of the accident, AFAD, medical teams, the Kurtalan Municipality fire department, police, and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene.

The teams reached the area quickly and intervened to assist those in the vehicles. Initial checks at the scene confirmed that two people had lost their lives. Three injured individuals were rushed to the hospital after receiving initial treatment. It was reported that the condition of the injured remains critical.

It was noted that many sheep in the back of the pickup truck also died in the accident. A comprehensive investigation into the accident has been launched by police and gendarmerie teams.
