PKK operation in Istanbul: 11 suspects apprehended
Simultaneous operations were conducted at 17 different addresses across 10 districts in Istanbul. 11 suspects were apprehended in the operation targeting the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG.
In an operation targeting the terrorist organization PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG in Istanbul, 11 suspects were taken into custody.
In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, 17 suspects determined to have been active within the PYD/YPG, the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK, were identified through digital materials seized during operations against the PKK/KCK.
Acting on the instructions of the prosecutor's office, teams from the Istanbul Police Department carried out simultaneous operations at 17 different addresses across 10 districts of Istanbul.
11 suspects were taken into custody during the operation.
Efforts to apprehend the remaining 6 suspects are ongoing.
