PKK/YPG operation in Gaziantep: 2 detained
Two suspects, members of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, were captured and detained in a "dawn" operation in Gaziantep.
According to a statement from the Governor's Office, an investigation was conducted under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams to uncover and prevent the activities of terrorist organizations and their collaborators.
2 SUSPECTS DETAINED
As a result of intelligence efforts carried out within this scope, two Syrian nationals, identified as M.H. and M.H., who were determined to have operated as "fighters and intelligence operatives" within the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG armed terrorist organization in the Syrian region between 2019 and 2021, were detained in an operation conducted in the Şehitkamil district.
A large number of digital materials were seized during the operation.
The suspects' processing at the gendarmerie is ongoing.
