Members of DİSK, KESK, TMMOB, and TTB gathered in front of the Çankaya gate of the TBMM, where the 2025 budget negotiations are ongoing, and wanted to hold a press statement.

"Budget for the People, Democratic Turkey", the press statement intended to be held with this call, was blocked by the police.

A new one of the protests themed "We cannot make ends meet", organized under the leadership of unions, was held today. Police teams intervened against workers and retirees who gathered in Ankara and wanted to march to the parliament.

PEPPER SPRAY INTERVENTION

The retirees' press statement was also not permitted. When the teams began to intervene against the demonstrators, the retirees who wanted to reach the front of the parliament from the back road were blocked by police intervention.

During the intervention that took place on Olgunlar Street, pepper spray was used against the demonstrators.
