Police motorcycle team chasing a vehicle crashes
In the Bayraklı district of İzmir, a police motorcycle team that began a pursuit after a suspicious vehicle failed to comply with a stop order lost control on a curve and struck the barriers. Two police officers on the motorcycle were slightly injured in the accident.
The accident occurred around 22:30 near the Gümüşpala junction on Anadolu Avenue. According to the information obtained, a vehicle that police teams found suspicious failed to comply with a 'stop' order and began to flee.
Upon this, the Motorcycle Police Team units affiliated with the Public Security Branch Directorate, who were pursuing the vehicle, lost control of their motorcycle while traveling on the road.
The two police officers on the motorcycle, E.İ. (30) and A.K. (25), were thrown onto the road after hitting the barriers on the side of the road. Upon notification of the accident, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The police officers, who were determined to have sustained minor injuries, were transported by ambulance to Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

A large number of police officers flocked to the front of the hospital to learn the condition of their injured colleagues. It was learned that the treatment of the police officers, who were determined to have fractures in their arms and legs, is ongoing.
Meanwhile, efforts to apprehend the fleeing vehicle are continuing.
