Political party membership numbers announced: Decline in AKP

The Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation has released the 2024 data regarding the membership numbers of political parties in Turkey. Accordingly, despite losing 199 thousand 76 members, the AKP remains the party with the highest number of members, totaling 11 million 41 thousand 464.

Following the AKP, the party that experienced the highest loss of members is the İYİ Party. The İYİ Party, which lost 108 thousand 935 members, now has 508 thousand 578 members.

INCREASE IN CHP

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has added 59 thousand 370 new members following its internal change movements. The New Welfare Party (YRP) became the political party with the highest increase in membership due to significant interest. Fatih Erbakan's party reached 365 thousand 767 members with 96 thousand 376 new additions.
