Praise for Murat Kurum from Ahmet Hakan: 'He can deliver a good jab when needed, but...'

People's Alliance Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate Murat Kurum recently made assessments regarding the upcoming local elections on the program "Tarafsız Bölge" (Neutral Zone), hosted by Ahmet Hakan on CNN Türk.

In his column today, Hakan used words of praise for Kurum, whom he hosted on his program.

Arguing that Kurum is "thorough and articulate" on issues such as transportation, subways, and urban transformation, Hakan wrote, "He does not have a single outlandish, unrealistic, or imaginary project: All the projects he has announced are grounded in reality."

Asserting that Kurum is a hardworking, service-oriented figure, Hakan stated, "He engages in polemics when necessary and can deliver a good jab when needed. But these are not his primary areas."

Hakan included the following statements in his column:

"- Whenever the topic turns to transportation, subways, or urban transformation... Murat Kurum is thorough and articulate.

- Kurum's style is as follows: He first takes a snapshot of the current situation, then presents the solution with a 10-year perspective.

- He does not have a single outlandish, unrealistic, or imaginary project: All the projects he has announced are grounded in reality.

- The time we currently spend in traffic in Istanbul is a disaster. Kurum promises to reduce this time within five years.

- An earthquake is coming and Istanbul will collapse. Kurum promises to prevent this potential collapse.

- Kurum is a hardworking, service-oriented figure. He stands out in this regard. This is his strongest suit.

- He engages in polemics when necessary and can deliver a good jab when needed. But these are not his primary areas.

These are the conclusions I drew from the latest 'Tarafsız Bölge' program I did with Murat Kurum."
