President Erdoğan: I wholeheartedly congratulate 'Our Boys'

President Erdoğan shared the following message on his social media account:

"I wholeheartedly congratulate our A National Football Team, 'Our Boys,' who qualified for the World Cup finals by defeating Kosovo in the 2026 World Cup play-off final.

I wish success to our National Team, which will wave our crescent-and-star flag on this biggest stage of football after 24 years, first in the group matches we will play against Australia, Paraguay, and the USA, and then in the matches where we hope to reach the final, God willing.

We have full faith that 'Our Boys' will carry the crescent-and-star jersey from victory to victory as they always do, and will make our nation proud. I kiss all our athletes on their foreheads."
