President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements in Adıyaman, one of the cities that suffered great destruction, on the second anniversary of the February 6, 2023 earthquakes.
Speaking at the "We Become One: February 6 Earthquake Commemoration Program" held at the Youth and Sports Directorate Sports Hall, Erdoğan provided information regarding the work carried out after the earthquake.
Erdoğan stated, "We will build a total of 453 thousand houses by the end of the year, and we will not leave any of our citizens who have not been able to settle into their homes or return to their jobs alone."
The highlights of Erdoğan's speech are as follows:
'From the very first moment of the earthquake, we mobilized the resources of the state. To those who asked where the state was in order to reap political benefits during difficult days, we responded strongly by saying the state is here, by the side of the people. We showed the state through the construction and restoration efforts that have been continuing day and night here for exactly 2 years, after the earthquake tourists left. The disaster of the century caused a heavy cost of 104 billion dollars directly and 150 billion dollars indirectly for our country'
