Erdoğan's statement on the matter is as follows:
"Starting tomorrow, the Minimum Wage Determination Commission is beginning its negotiations.
I especially believe that the process will be carried out with an understanding that will both consider the expectations of our workers and not place an heavy burden on our country's economy.
As for the opposition, which announces minimum wage figures as if they were in an auction, I invite them to pay their accumulated debts to the Social Security Institution (SGK) if they want to do something for the benefit of the country and the nation."
