President Erdoğan makes statements at SAHA EXPO 2024

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the SAHA EXPO 2024 Fair.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's speech are as follows:

"I CONGRATULATE ALL INSTITUTIONS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THE ORGANIZATION OF THE FAIR"

I am very pleased to be with you at SAHA EXPO 2024, where the stars of our country's defense, aviation, and space sectors meet. I congratulate all our institutions, companies, and sponsors who contributed to the organization of the fair, and I congratulate those who took part in the fair with their products.

"WE WILL CONTINUE TO DESTROY THEIR LAIRS"

As you know, a heinous terrorist attack was carried out on the TUSAŞ campus the day before yesterday. I pray for mercy for our heroes who were martyred in this treacherous and vile terrorist attack. We will always remember the sacrifices of our martyrs with gratitude. It is my belief and prayer that our nation will keep the cherished memories of our martyrs alive forever.

I also wish a speedy recovery to our brothers and sisters who were injured in the attack. Although our pain is great because of our martyrs, we will continue to come down hard on the traitors who target our country's history and destroy their lairs. Turkey has the power to thwart all kinds of traps with the total unity of its 85 million citizens. Any attack that threatens the peace and security of our nation will fail.

"NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO COME BETWEEN US AND OUR GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY"

We see the intention behind these treacheries very well. Likewise, our discerning nation is aware of the purpose served by the bloody actions of the separatists. We will not allow anyone to come between us and our goal of a terror-free Turkey, where 85 million people live in brotherhood, peace, and tranquility.

 Although our pain is great, our determination to fight against the villains who target our ideal of the Century of Turkey is even greater. We will continue to come down hard on those who think they can make us take a step back with such treacheries and destroy their lairs.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SAHA EXPO IN THE DEFENSE SECTOR

SAHA Istanbul, 9 years ago, aimed to increase the localization rate and raise our international competitiveness; we have covered a great distance in this time. It has reached a wide network spread over 1200 companies from 52 different sectors, 29 universities, and 45 cities. We find this network, which has developed in a short time, very valuable for our defense ecosystem. With the SAHA EXPO fair, which was first held in 2018, we support our country's business development and export plans.

"SOCIAL MEDIA IS LIKE AN OPERATION TOOL"

Following the terrorist act, we appreciate the common stance adopted by our political parties, including the opposition, as well as our nation. I thank all citizens who have united around the axis of brotherhood in accordance with our call. However, I must also express my sadness here. The purpose of terrorism is not just to shed blood and slaughter the innocent. The real purpose of terrorism is to create an environment of fear in society. Unfortunately, some circles in our country, knowingly or unknowingly, act as a kind of intermediary for terrorism to reach this goal. Look, I am leaving aside social media channels where there is no self-control, no moral values, and no supervision. Because when it comes to Turkey, it has already turned into an operation tool that completes the missing parts of a terrorist act. We have experienced many times so far that the sensitivity they show when a terrorist act is carried out in the West is withheld when it comes to our country. We no longer expect a consistent, moral, principled, and conscientious stance from them.

"SOME MAY HAVE AN IRON DOME, WE HAVE OUR STEEL DOME"

With the Steel Dome, we are constantly trying to improve ourselves in long-range air defense with Siper and many other projects. Some may have an Iron Dome, we have our Steel Dome. We have no doubt that we will reach much better places. We are also in a constant breakthrough in satellite technologies. With Turkey's satellite İMECE, which we launched into space last year, we have the opportunity to obtain images from anywhere in the world without being subject to any restrictions.

With the TÜRKSAT 6A project, we have entered the ranks of countries that can build their own satellites in the field of communication satellite production.

We will also use satellites in the realization processes of our lunar mission. When we see the genocide in Gaza where 50 thousand innocent people were slaughtered and the attacks in Lebanon, the Turkish defense industry must be strong. If we can show the strongest reaction to the oppressors today without asking for permission from anyone and without hesitation, it is because of the successes achieved by the defense industry in 22 years. This success graph will continue to rise. Turkey's march of independence in the defense industry is a harbinger of a new era not only for our country but also for the oppressed. The Century of Turkey will be a century in which peace and tranquility prevail at home and abroad. The criminals and those who unleash the criminals upon us will not be able to stop our country's blessed march. Our march will continue with increasing speed.
