President Erdoğan: Our trade volume target with Hungary is 10 billion dollars

As you are aware, in recent years, I have had many meetings with Mr. Orbán, both through bilateral visits and within the Organization of Turkic States and other international platforms.

In our talks today, we not only reviewed our bilateral relations but also reaffirmed our will to further develop our cooperation in areas such as energy, transport, trade, defense, and culture. We confirmed our determination to further enhance our cooperation.

From aviation to fsecurity, from technology to culture and education, we have signed various documents that will strengthen the legal framework of our relations and carried them out.

Our Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, along with our Intelligence and Defense Industry heads, held the first meeting of the joint consultation mechanism we previously agreed to establish.

10 BILLION DOLLAR TRADE VOLUME TARGET

We are also seeing the reflections of thisexceptional level we have reached in our political relationsin the economic sphere.We areon the verge of reaching our 6 billion dollar trade volume target that I set with Mr. Orbán. We are now aiming to update this target to 10 billion dollars.

Taking into account the potential for trilateral trade between us, we discussed updating our volume target to 10 billion dollars. We agreed on operating the current economic and trade mechanisms in the most efficient manner.

Naturally, we have advanced through concrete projects in the field of defense industry.We are also seeing the positive effects of our partnerships on trade and investments.Considering the changing security conditions in Europe,we are alsoevaluatingprojects that will carry our defense industry cooperation to further levels and also envision joint production.Strategic

partnership we considered importantour energy and transportation issues were alsoprominent topics in ourdiscussions.

Throughoutthe year 2025, which we have declared as the Turkey-Hungary Year of Science and Innovation, we have implemented 28 joint actions ranging from research and development to digitalization and artificial intelligence to entrepreneurship, and we have allocatedfunds to the determinedjoint projects.
