President Erdoğan: Turkey is always on the side of peace, not war

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is making statements during an iftar program with former AKP deputies, Central Executive Board (MYK) members, and the parliamentary group.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

Today, I once again convey my thanks to each of you for your presence and affection. Through you, I also express my gratitude to all my brothers and sisters with whom we walk the path under the roof of the AK Party. Through you, I send my greetings to every level of the AK Party organization.

WE FENDED OFF THE JULY 15 COUP ATTEMPT TOGETHER

Our sole purpose is to provide beneficial works to this nation, which possesses a civilization thousands of years old, and to leave a pleasant legacy. We have served our beloved nation without making any distinctions. We fended off the Gezi uprising, the judicial traps, and the July 15 coup attempt together in the same way.

WE ARE A MOVEMENT OF THE VIRTUOUS

We have built a country where every member of our nation can express themselves freely. We have lifted Turkey up. Today, thank God, we live in a country whose star shines brighter every day in its region. We will continue to turn night into day for this beloved nation. We are not a cadre that only saves the day; we are a movement of the virtuous that puts forth a vision.

IF EVERYONE HAS A PLAN, GOD ALSO HAS A PLAN

We will realize the Century of Turkey in the strongest way together with you and our youth. The events that drown our region in blood and tears have unfortunately increased with the attacks on our neighbor, Iran. Even the Israeli people, who spend every night in shelters, have realized that the disaster that has befallen them is Netanyahu. Let the conflicts in our region stop now, let the tears cease. We are concerned with extinguishing the fire before the flames grow larger and more lives are lost. May God turn evils into good. If everyone has a plan, God also has a plan.
