President Erdoğan's criticism of the Islamic world: 'We did not pass the test'
In his speech at the Quran Recitation Competition Award Ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed Israel's attacks on Gaza and emphasized that the Islamic world has remained insufficient during this process. Erdoğan stated, "We cannot leave our Palestinian brothers and sisters alone."
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan drew attention to the massacres carried out by Israel in Gaza at the "9th International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition Award Ceremony." Stating that international legal norms have become dysfunctional, Erdoğan said that the system established after World War II has lost its validity.

Describing Israel's attacks on Gaza as "genocide," Erdoğan said, “The law of the jungle has replaced international law. The international system established after World War II has dissolved itself. What is happening in Gaza has unmasked everyone in the world. The true face of those who speak of civilization has been revealed.”

"WE DID NOT PASS THE TEST"
Stating that the Islamic world has not been able to react sufficiently to Israel's attacks, Erdoğan said, “As an Islamic world with a population approaching 2 billion, unfortunately, we have not passed the test against Israel. We could not protect the Palestinian martyrs in a way that befits them. Gaza and Palestine are resisting for all of humanity and Muslims, but there has not been a sufficient reaction in the Islamic world. This disunity is a recorded situation.”

Stating that the Islamic world must ensure its unity, Erdoğan added: “The only way to overcome this is through adherence to the Quran and the Sunnah. We must return to these primary sources that explain our purpose on earth. We have a promise to our brothers and sisters who do not bow to oppression and who support the oppressed. Even in the most remote corners of Africa, people who have turned their faces to Turkey have pinned their hopes on us.”
Calling for aid to Palestine and Lebanon, Erdoğan said, “We cannot leave our brothers and sisters alone in the face of Israel's tyranny. May everyone whose heart beats for Palestine and Lebanon help these people. May the Lord be with Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.”
