President Erdoğan's much-discussed assessment of election results

Erdoğan made assessments regarding the election results during the AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting.

The President evaluated that there was a clear loss of votes in the March 31 elections, noting that as the AKP, they were unable to get the voters who have supported them for 21 years to the polls this time, and he analyzed the reasons for this.

According to the report in HaberGlobal, it was learned that Erdoğan revealed during the meeting that the current situation involves the headquarters, the organization, and the candidates, and he particularly emphasized that everything from the candidate selection process to the conclusion of the election would be evaluated at length.

According to sources, the President stated in his assessment that the inflationary pressure and its consequences, which began and increased with the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia War, were deeply felt on March 31, that preventive measures were insufficient, that many segments of society, especially retirees whose grievances he listened to in all provinces, suffered a loss of welfare, and that efforts to alleviate the hardships of retirees during the process did not reach the desired point.

Among the information received is that Erdoğan brought up complaints from citizens during the MYK meeting and underscored the importance of getting rid of and combating the negative attitudes that have begun to be seen in the party management, provincial, district, and town organizations, mayors, members of parliament, and the bureaucracy.

It is also stated that AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan clearly indicated that the AKP, which emerged from the heart of the nation, cannot build a wall between itself and the citizens, that this is its greatest enemy, and that those who exhibit negative attitudes toward the nation, regardless of their position, cannot escape the responsibility of being held accountable.

The AKP management will also separately evaluate the situation in provinces such as Amasya, Kütahya, and Kırıkkale, where the People's Alliance parties competed and the CHP won.
