Prison inmates hospitalized over suspected food poisoning
Inmates and convicts held at the Denizli D-Type Closed Penal Institution have been hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning.
According to the information received, inmates and convicts staying at the D-Type Closed Penal Institution in the Kocabaş neighborhood of Honaz district fell ill after eating lunch yesterday.
The prisoners, who received initial treatment at the prison for complaints of nausea and vomiting, were transferred to hospitals in the city due to suspected food poisoning.
Relatives who arrived at the hospitals sought information from authorities regarding the condition of the prisoners.
Due to the crowd, police and gendarmerie teams took security measures in the surrounding area.
It was learned that some prisoners were discharged after their treatment and sent back to the prison.
