While the repercussions of the illegal betting investigation launched against 23 suspects, including famous figures Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil, continue, the government is preparing to take a new step on this issue.

PRISON FOR ILLEGAL BETTING
According to a report by the Sabah newspaper, prison sentences are coming for those who engage in illegal betting. The button has been pressed for the new regulation. According to the report, there will be a clause on this matter in the 10th judicial package, which is currently being prepared.

Currently, engaging in illegal betting, which is subject to a fine of 5 to 20 thousand liras, will become a crime punishable by imprisonment.
