Pro-government journalist reveals Kılıçdaroğlu's move: CHP will expel Özgür Özel within 1 week

Following the court's decision on absolute nullity, behind-the-scenes claims regarding new developments that may occur within the CHP have come to the fore. Pro-government journalist Sinan Burhan, in his statement during a live broadcast on tv100, alleged that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will be expelled from the party within a week.

“ÖZGÜR ÖZEL AND HIS TEAM WANT TO BE FORCED INTO EXPULSION FROM THE CHP”

Burhan stated the following:

"Ekrem İmamoğlu gave a new message to Murat Sabuncu. He said: 'We are going to start a new march. We are talking about a new team, a new staff, and a new party plan.' So, how will this new party be established? Under current conditions, it is not possible to establish a new party if Özgür Özel and his team remain in the CHP. Therefore, Özgür Özel and his team want to create a space of legitimacy and face a situation where they are forced to be expelled from the CHP. That is my interpretation. What I mean will be better understood within 1 week."

Arguing that a new political restructuring is inevitable, Burhan used the following expressions:

"CHP will expel Özel within 1 week. There is work being done by Özgür Bey's staff and team. I conducted research. I spoke with party officials about these matters, and I spoke with people who provide intellectual contributions to the party. A new party is inevitable. And this party to be established will not be in line with the CHP. İmamoğlu's statement today was interpreted as 'a new march, a new staff, a new struggle.' Let me tell you the information I received in points:"

Suggesting that the process could take shape by the end of July or the beginning of August, Burhan continued his words as follows:

"At the end of July or the beginning of August, Özgür Özel and his team will join an existing party instead of forming a new one. "Right-wing origin deputies within the Republican People's Party do not want the idea of a “new CHP.” They do not want a party that is a continuation of the CHP. What should happen? They want to form a front under the name of a liberal center, Turkey Alliance, or democracy alliance. They think this will not happen with the CHP logo, emblem, and program."
