Super Cup final proposal from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu

The Super Cup final between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, which was to be played in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, was postponed after Saudi authorities did not permit banners and posters of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Citizens reacted to the Turkish Football Federation due to this scandal that occurred during the Super Cup final in the 100th year of the Republic.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the 7th Chairman of the CHP, shared a post on his X account regarding the postponed Super Cup final.

Congratulating the Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray clubs for their stance, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the Super Cup final should be played in Ankara.

Kılıçdaroğlu's post is as follows;

"I wholeheartedly congratulate the Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray communities for not compromising on the disgrace experienced in Saudi Arabia with their joint decision, and for deciding to return home by not taking the field regarding their sensitivities toward our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We are proud of you.

I wish for the postponed Super Cup Final to be played in the capital Ankara, the headquarters of our National Struggle and the eternal resting place of our Great Leader, and I believe that the authorities will show the necessary sensitivity to at least partially cover up this shame they have caused our country."
