The armed attack that took place at the Istanbul Kartal Regional Court of Justice has caused a major stir within the judiciary.

SHOT IN HER OFFICE

According to the information obtained, Prosecutor Muhammet Çağatay Kılıçarslan fired a weapon at Judge Aslı Kahraman during an argument that took place in her office yesterday. The tea server, Yakup Karadağ, who is known to be a convict, intervened to prevent the prosecutor from firing a second shot in the attack, which targeted Kahraman's physical integrity.

Following the incident, it was alleged that the prosecutor had been exhibiting obsessive behavior toward Judge Kahraman. It was claimed that Kılıçarslan had previously worked on cases involving violence against women, and that Judge Kahraman had been under police protection for some time.

PROSECUTOR TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Prosecutor Muhammet Çağatay Kılıçarslan, who was taken into custody following the armed attack, was brought to the courthouse in Istanbul Çağlayan in the morning hours. Kılıçarslan's statement was taken by the deputy chief prosecutor at the Special Investigation Bureau.
