The prosecutor's letter had arrived! Posters taken down at jet speed
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has banned the use of Ekrem İmamoğlu's visual and audio content in public transportation vehicles. All content featuring İmamoğlu's voice, videos, and photos on subways, buses, metrobus lines, and ferries is being removed. Following the ban decision, posters on some billboards were taken down at jet speed.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had ordered the collection of posters and banners regarding IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in a letter sent to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department in March.
In a new instruction sent to the IMM in recent days, the prosecutor's office imposed a ban on the use of content containing İmamoğlu's photo, video, and voice on subways, metrobus lines, buses, and ferries.
PHOTOS TAKEN DOWN AT JET SPEED
In a video shared by journalist Barış Terkoğlu on his social media account, it was captured that photos of the imprisoned Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan were being removed from an advertising space on the E-5 highway in Şişli.
